About the Formosa Tea House

The Formosa Tea House is my third place, the place that's not home and not work where I go to talk, relax, eat, and be "away from it all." It is not uncommon to find me there every day of the week, either alone, or with Steven, Dan, Nathan, Johnny, and Jodi (in some combination).

Dan, Steven and I record an occasional podcast, Live From the Formosa Tea House at the Formosa.

History

The Formosa Tea House opened on February 22, 2001 at 73 University Ave. in Charlottetown.

After three years at that location, it moved to 186 Prince Street.

In October of 2005, a second location opened in Ellen's Creek Plaza; this location closed mid-2006.

Their brochure says that "the idea of Formosa Tea House's design came from Taiwan's traditions, to provide a healthy and peaceful environment. The Taiwanese music and decor put your mind at ease."
