Globe Corner Bookstore
The shop has a wide selection of the usual travel guidebooks (Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, etc.), but I like it more for its good selection of "armchair travel" and general interest travel books (travel with kids, travel how-to, etc.). I seldom visit without coming away with $100 worth of reading to last me another six months.
As of January 2006, the store is moving from its old location above Club Passim to a new location:
90 Mt. Auburn Street
The web manager of the store wrote me in early January:
This new location is at the intersection of JFK and Mt. Auburn, across from the Garage. We will be opening in Feb. or March of this year and until then we are just running our online business at www.globecorner.com.
