Start a bakery. Do it using the same means as we'd have used if we wanted to start an open source programming project.
The name's been chosen by Peter, and it designates the idea that the net can be used for connecting people to each other and developing other things than nifty Plazes alerts and so on.
Bread as in... bread?
The output of this project is supposed to be: A functioning community bakery for Charlottetown, PEI.
Open as in Open Source?
Yes. We intend to publish our process of creation, so that anyone can do the same, for their neighborhood.
Book that did this about importing tea? Peter?
