Old Home Week is the name of a week in August in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island when the agricultural exhibition and the special Gold Cup and Saucer harness racing series are held. There is a big parade on the Friday of Old Home Week and this day -- or at least the morning -- is generally give to employees in the city as a holiday.

Old Home Week, at least traditionally, was a time for expatriates to come back to their "old home" and in this sense "old home week" is used to refer to any situation where the far-flung and/or long-forgotten return to the fold -- "it's like old home week in here -- Jimmy just dropped by!"
