The iMic is a little gizmo, basically a "USB sound card," that plugs into a USB port on a Mac an provides a mic/line in and a speaker out via 1/8" stereo mini plugs. It makes it possible to plug a microphone, or the output of a mixing board, into my laptop to record podcasts like Live From the Formosa Teahouse.
