Chris and I were in Peterborough at Trent at the same time in the late 1980s. We were both involved at Trent Radio during that time. Chris first noticed Peter's proclivities for code when he learned that Peter was building the database of Trent Radio's record library on an old IBM 8088. He was most impressed when the station manager at the time John Muir described Peter's database solution as "this thing he calls the internet." For a short time, Chris actually was under the impression that Peter had invented the internet.

We once sat in a restaurant called The Corfu and spent the afternoon drawing a social network diagram of everyone we knew in the city (aka a "who's slept with whom chart").

Chris is friends with Rob Paterson and Johnnie Moore.

You can learn more about Chris and his work on his website. He blogs at Parking Lot.
