I first met Art at Memorial University at the 1994 edition of the Access conference -- a yearly gathering of systems librarians and related geeky info-types. Art was on the organizing committee of Access 1998 in Guelph and invited me back to speak again, and we made it a hat trick when I presented to Access 2002 in Windsor, home to the University of Windsor, where Art is a Systems Librarian at the Leddy Library.
I was finally able to return the favour when I invited Art to speak at Zap Your PRAM in the fall of 2003.
Art and his wife Laurie Brett run the Essex Free Press weekly newspaper.
